As a member of S.I.T and the use  of our services and the agreement between You and the S.I.T Organization.   As an active member you will need to agree to these Terms and Conditions prior to be accepted. If You disagree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, your Membership may not be approved by the S.I.T organization.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Sistahs In Transformation is a non-profit member-based organization working to change the narrative of how black and brown women are perceived in society.  As a member of S.I.T. you will be surrounded by other women that support, uplift and demonstrate, empowerment, positivity, humility and humbleness while embracing you, motivating you and holding you accountable for your transformation. The goal for S.I.T. is to TRANSFORM at our own pace in a safe environment. We work on our mind, body, soul, spirit and finances.

Admission to Membership: To become an active member of S.I.T your Term of Membership is measured in months. The standard membership term is 12 months (January to December). Open enrollment begins the tenth month of the calendar year. Membership fees will be prorated beginning February 1 through September 1. No application for membership shall be denied on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, disability or any other characteristic protected by law except you must be of female origin.

As a Member of S.I.T I agree to the following Terms and Conditions

1. I will not be disrespectful to anyone affiliated with the S.I.T. organization

2. I agree to pay my membership fee at the signing of this Agreement and each year to be an active member

3.  Membership fees are  not refundable and non-transferable

4. As a member I agree that my contact information may be published in the S.I.T directory for members only

5.  Members are to conduct themselves with integrity, honesty and the highest level of confidentiality

6.  Members are to uphold the SIT OATH of transforming themselves and other black women. All members will maintain a positive attitude of respect to other members and adhere to and encourage high cultural, intellectual, and moral standards. You acknowledge and understand that public and private behaviors should reflect the values and principles espoused by Sistahs In Transformation.

7. Members acknowledge and understand that they will be a part of  S.I.T. dedicated to creating a safe space and respects differing opinions and honors transparency.

8. As a member I agree to l receive emails, text, phone calls and other forms of messaging including but not limited to social media and newsletters regarding upcoming events with pertinent information & sometimes confidential information for members only such as access codes, locations, etc.

9. As a member I agree that my pictures and videos taken at events may be used on various platforms for the advancement or promoting S.I.T’s events

10.  As a member I agree to become active in at least one (1) or more of Sistahs In Transformation Committees.

MEMBERSHIP CANCELATION:

Declined Transactions: If any transaction processed by SIT is returned from the member’s bank as insufficient funds, SIT will make two (2) attempts to retrieve payment. If unsuccessful, membership status will be cancelled. A $15 fee will be charged for all insufficient funds, late payments, and returned checks in addition to membership fee

DISPUTES AND FRAUD

SIT is a membership-based organization in which membership status is based on an honest application process. Any disputes made under false pretense and fraudulent actions will result in immediate cancellation of membership. Membership fees are non-refundable.

PERSONAL DATA & PRIVACY

We will only use your information internally for processing payments or sharing in our directory with other S.I.T members

“Personal Data” is any information that enables us to identify you, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as your name, identification number, location data, online identifier or one or more factors specific to your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
